Day Four

Crack Rocks
-bonus: identify them
-bonus: make something out of them
Now this one has a story. Once upon a time when I was nine or ten, one of us kids got a small rock and smashed it with a bigger one, starting a revolution that would last the next two summers. YOu take a dirty rock, just any old lump in the ground, and crack it open...and then---wow! You could get orange and black stripes, or pinkish crystal, or granite, or white smooth plates, or crumbly yellowish, or... the possibilites were dnless! We used to collect the cracked bits into bags, like stuffed full gallon freezer ziplock bags, and then we would spread out our best on the table or patio and trade with them. Ahh... those were the days. Well, today will be a day to revisit my past obsession and crack some more rocks :))
Oh, and here are the nailpolish pictures from the other day:

Day Three

Spa night in the bath
-bonus: the works
aaaahhhhhhhhh, how relaxing it is to let yourself soak for half an hour in nice hot water with bubbles and fizzy things and candles flickering in the corner. For 'the works', I decided to make a scrub and facial out of things in my kitchen. Scrub: 1/2 banana, 1/4 cup brown sugar, 1/4 cup granulated sugar. Used that on my whole body. Then, after searching for soooo long to find a facial for "combination skin" using ingredients that we have (seriously, they all had like one or two ingredients that we didnt have) I found one & used it. Facial Mask: 2 tbsp oat flour, 1/4 tsp turmeric, honey and milk. Mix first ingredients together then add milk and honey until it is a paste that will stick to your face. Wash face, then apply and let sit for 15-30 minutes. I tried to play relaxing music, but something is wrong with my computer where it only loads the first minute of any youtube or other video. Ugh. But once I got out and washed off and dried and lotioned and whatnot, I was soooooooooooooo clean and soft (and still today, my skin feels amazing) Guess I will do this again sometime (like the day before the first day of school... AGH NOOOOO !SCHOOL! NOOOOO!!!)...

Day Two

Nailpolish a different expression on each of your fingernails.
- Bonus: and toenails
- Bonus: make a skit with them
When I made this up, I didn't take into consideration the fact that I had to do the right hand expressions with my left hand... the one that can write worse than Tamsin (who actually has pretty good handwriting for her age- almost better than Alex's norm)! Oh well. Made it work.
the photos won't upload right now, but I'll post them later (along with a little skit :) )

Day One

Make something wearable.
-BONUS: wear it
Ha, so what i originally meant was sew something, like clothes, but of course they're all open to suggestion, to what it means to me at the time. So after a day of being lazy, or working hard to ignore it, at 11:00pm I grab some wire, a couple of shells I'd collected from the beach the other day and string up a bendy bracelet which is technicaly wearable... And the bonus, "wear it", so yeah, I wore it for, like, a minute and then took it off, but I did wear it... Maybe this should have been stricter... :P
